School is just around the corner. We are facing another school year filled with hours of homework and cramming until midnight for tests. Is there anything we can do to better prepare for the studying the school year will inevitably bring for our son? Have we waited too late in the summer to get started?

Our daughter is in summer school with the county taking History. Much to our disappointment she is not doing much better than during the school year. She is going to be behind in her credits for graduation if she doesn't pass this course. How can you help us?

After receiving the last report card it seems my daughter will be going to summer school.  We would like to know if you offer any summer school opportunities.  Our daughter will be with a large group of students and have the same teacher if she takes the class through the county.

Here it is July, and the school year is quickly approaching. I had great intentions of working with my daughter throughout the summer to practice the math and reading skills she learned last year. My child is a straight A student.  She does very well in school.  We are starting to get concerned about our summer plans.  By the second week of summer break each year she is already claiming boredom.  We’ve called several camps in the area and they are already full.  We’ve obviously waited too long to get our plans together.  Do you offer anything during the summer for students like our daughter?

My son is struggling with reading.  He can read, but he takes a long time.  He doesn't remember a word he read in the sentence before and has to sound out most all words.  By the time he gets finished with a paragraph, he can't remember anything he read.  He is getting further behind.  What can we do to help him?

My child is an ESL learner in Rutherford County Schools.  He is really struggling with reading.  My husband and I speak mostly Spanish in our home and can't help our son much with his studies.  Do you offer services to ESL students?

My daughter is in middle school.  Her grades have always been very average.  Suddenly she is really struggling with the amount of reading involved in her Social Studies, Science, and Reading classes. School is out for over two weeks during the holidays. We have been working hard at home to keep up with what my daughter is learning in third grade.
